Anita Woodley

Woodley has written a one-woman show, “Mama Juggs: Three Generations Healing Negative Body Images,” about her mother, great-grandmother and herself as they deal with puberty, breast cancer and breast feeding while on a path towards

conquering low self-esteem.


Woodley recently performed the play in front of the Tikar people, her family’s ancestral tribe, in Cameroon, Africa.

on Aug. 22 at the Hayti Heritage Center in Durham.
